About Gerraro's
Jerry Jansheski settled near the beach in Saint Petersburg, Florida in January of 2000 after a brief stint of traveling the country driving a truck. It was there that he began working for Pinellas County and met Sharon Bower who had been employed there for several years. Jerry worked his inimitable charm on Sharon, and the rest, as they say, is history!
In his pre-Sharon days, the busy bachelor Jerry discovered the need for smaller, more economical portions that would eventually lead to Gerraro's Miraculoso Sauces.
Jerry and Sharon began working with sauces that would just be enough for one meal. Sharon played guinea pig to his experimentation and tested most of the sauces, providing suggestions and guidance all along the way. Taking their sauces to market was not then the goal; they just wanted a fresh, great-tasting, economical solution to the age-old question, "What's for dinner?"
Then one day, Jerry presented his first Chicken Parmesan dinner. Although the chicken was delicious, the sauce was… lacking.
After what seemed like a zillion batches later, with much tweaking here and fine-tuning there, one day, by blending together two sauces that had the most promise, a star was born! They sat down to dinner and declared, "This is the one! We have got to do something with this!"
The next Gerraro's debut in the "Miraculoso" line was "Mother Mary's Barbeque Sauce," and it must be tasted to be appreciated. The sauce is named for Mary, Jerry's niece, who shared her recipe with Sharon several years ago.
Sharon and Jerry, with the help of Jerry's talented children, friends and knowledgeable associates, have now brought their simply scrumptious solutions to market and are currently presenting the "Miraculoso" line of sauces in outdoor markets around the Saint Petersburg/Clearwater, Florida area.
There are many wonderful sauces out there, but until you taste Gerraro's Miraculoso sauces, you haven't tasted the best!
